About 1

Hello,

I’m Kaitlyn Rowe. I was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, and reside there. Macon, Georgia (a.k.a MacTown to residents) is a city with character and history located an hour south of Atlanta, and one of the many reasons I love to live here. Another reason why I love to live here is because downtown Macon, GA, is known to be a hub for writers, artists, etc. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Minor in Creative Writing. I chose to major and minor in those subjects because they have always been my favorite growing up, and because I live in a place that’s a hub for people like me, it makes me proud to be a writer.

Along with being a writer, I also like to do arts and crafts (mainly painting that involves abstract and scenery, but I will do sketches with oil pastels and colored pencils). My other hobbies include collecting and reading comic books and YA (young adult fiction) books, video games, and watching UGA football (GO DAWGS) and the Atlanta Braves.

I’m your average all-American girl who loves spending time with family and friends. I have three brothers, one sister, and many nieces and nephews. My family is the best people you could ever meet. I don’t know what I would do without them because they always inspire and support me.

My Passion

As I mentioned before, I love to write. Since I was a little kid, I have also been fond of writing poetry and stories. It was one of my many hobbies growing up, and I figured since I love writing, why not try to make something out of it.

Another one of my hobbies and passions growing up was reading books and comic books. Marvel and DC are my favorite comic books to read, and I have always loved reading teen and young adult fiction books (with some SCI-FI and fantasy mixed in). When reading my favorite comics and YA books, I always felt like I could connect with those characters somehow. So I figured since I favor reading YA fiction, why not write for the teen and young adult audience.

My Goals

Since writing is a passion I want to make something of, I figured it should also be a goal as well. The novels and comic books I have read (and still read today) always provided me with solace when I want to be entertained with a good story to read. With that being said, I figured since I love writing so much, why not give other readers a good story to read as well?
